Description

Our Taika Cushion Cover is handwoven from 100% natural tussar silk, cultivated in the forests of India's Bastar and Assam. The striped pattern is crafted using an ancient Indonesian printing technique called Batik, which involves melting wax onto the silk and then pouring the blue dye over the top. Once the wax is removed, it leaves a stripe of the natural colour in its place that has not been saturated with the dye. Due to the artisanal techniques used, each piece will have individual characteristics that add to their charm.

Our Stylist Says

I love this cushion cover for its versatile yet sophisticated colour, making it an excellent choice for adding a pop of colour to neutral schemes or blending seamlessly into deeper, layered interiors. The Air Force Blue hue works particularly well in collections that feature natural textures or minimal palettes, offering a touch of visual interest without overpowering. Styling tip: pair it with textured throws and other cushions in similar tones or complementary shades like warm greys or sandy hues to create an inviting, curated look on sofas or beds. Its classic colour also makes it adaptable to both contemporary and traditional settings, providing effortless elegance wherever you place it.
