Description
Nodding to the traditional style of the South Asian countries where you'll find the wood it's crafted from, this small chest of drawers features a smart blend of bayur wood and rattan. With its unusual concave front, housing three drawers that increase in size – from shallow to deep – as they go down, this storage option makes a striking addition to a room. Every element is considered, down to the handles – circular, hollow pulleys that make opening and closing the drawers extremely easy.

I’m a fan of this small Bayuban chest for the way its dark ebony frame contrasts with the woven Bayur-wood drawers, adding instant texture without overwhelming a space. It sits comfortably in modern-Scandi, coastal or eclectic interiors and works just as well as a bedside table, hallway console or home-office storage unit.
