Shida means ‘six’ in the West African language Hausa, and our Shida Table has a hexagonal shape to match. Its steel construction is hand welded, electroplated with copper and then oxidised for the desired antiqued finish. Due to the artisanal techniques and finishing process each piece will have individual characteristics and will not be identical.
I’m a fan of the Shida side table for its clean lines and slim profile - the blackened bronze finish brings a warm, muted contrast to both light and dark schemes. It works well in contemporary, industrial or Scandi-inspired interiors and is ideal as a bedside or hallway accent when floor space is tight. To style it, try a single sculptural lamp or a petite ceramic vase with a sprig of greenery, keeping accessories minimal to let the hexagonal shape stand out. You can also use it as a plant stand - just choose a pot that’s slightly smaller than the top to maintain that elegant, airy feel.
