Price History

Description

In Chinese tradition, red is the colour of luck; this gives our Shian Vase its name, phonetically adapted from the Chinese word for ‘luck’. Red is the hardest shade to achieve through pottery firing due to the high temperatures required. This process will give each piece its own unique characteristics. The Shian features hand-painted dragons, phoenixes, deer and floral motifs on its ceramic base.

Our Stylist Says

I really like the OKA Shian Vase - Coral because of its striking colour and textured ceramic finish. It works beautifully in both modern and traditional interiors, adding a touch of colour and visual interest to sideboards, mantels, or open shelving. For styling tips, try pairing it with fresh or dried botanicals to enhance its colour, or keep it as a standalone decorative piece to showcase its pattern. Since it’s ceramic, it’s best displayed in low-traffic areas to avoid knocks, and it can also serve as a centrepiece in a neutral décor scheme, adding personality without overwhelming the space.
