Description

Seeking frills? Make space in your scheme for our antique Gustavian-inspired Ruffelen pieces. The collection comprises two dining tables (one extendable, one oval) and a matching console table – all of which are hand-painted a period-appropriate pale grey-green hue. Seating four, the oval-shaped table is a good fit for linear living spaces; its rounded finish feels soft and inviting, while its carved legs hit the right level of ornamental detail.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of the Ruffelen chalk table for its clean, off-white finish and the subtle carved detailing on the legs - it feels both relaxed and refined. The mix of painted pine top and metal frame means it slips neatly into a modern farmhouse kitchen or a pared-back Scandinavian dining room, and it’ll sit comfortably in a coastal-inspired space too. To style, keep the centre simple: a linen runner and a low earthenware vase with fresh greenery work well. Contrast the smooth top with woven or rattan chairs, and layer on natural-tone crockery. It’s easy to wipe down after meals yet still looks special enough for weekend dinner parties.
