Description

The Purdy Table Lamp is a take on vintage-style lighting. Purdy takes a round approach with its metal shade that is entirely hand formed and welded, hand-painted red-and-vellum stripes reminiscent of big top circus tents. The style is complemented by brushed antique brass-toned edges and hardware. The nature of the layered painting and drying technique means that the craftspeoplecan only make these lamps at a certain time of year, and so limited numbers will be released into our catalogue at a time, making each piece extra special. Due to the artisanal process and natural elements that have an effect on the making of this piece, each one will have individual characteristics that add to their charm.

Our Stylist Says

I love this Purdy Table Lamp for its striking Chinese red shade, which adds a bold pop of colour and warmth to a variety of interiors. It works particularly well in eclectic, contemporary, or traditional spaces where a statement piece is desired. I suggest pairing it with neutral or pared-back furniture to let the colour really stand out, or mixing it with other warm tones to create a cosy vibe. Practical styling tips include placing it on side tables next to armchairs or sofas for reading light, or using it on a console table to add height and colour to entrance halls or living rooms. Its timeless design makes it versatile, so it can easily adapt to different decorating styles, adding a touch of colour and personality to any room.
