Price History

Description

Named after the turning tide, the blue hue of our Plima Rug is sure to bring tranquil tones to your home. The yarns are twisted tightly and dipped in a dye bath so that they pick up colour with abrash (mottled) effect. They are then handwoven on a six-shaft loom, with the pattern being created by a skilled weaver who lifts each shaft following a graph. When complete, the rug is washed for softness and an antique effect. Due to this artisanal process, each piece will have individual characteristics.

Our Stylist Says

I love this Plima rug for its versatile colour palette and understated texture, which makes it easy to incorporate into a variety of interiors. Its indigo and natural tones are especially effective in both contemporary and coastal-inspired spaces, adding warmth without overwhelming the room. The cotton and wool blend offers durability and comfort underfoot, making it suitable for living rooms, bedrooms, or even dining areas. For styling tips, consider pairing this rug with neutral furnishings and layering with textured cushions or throws to enhance its tactile appeal. It works particularly well in spaces that seek a relaxed, yet refined look, and can anchor a seating arrangement or define a cosy nook effortlessly.
