The Palladian Mirror, though at first appearing like a large arched window from a beautiful palatial home, also takes inspiration from the Chinese character 十 (shi) which means 10, and symbolises the lines of longitude and latitude on the earth. These cross formations have been used to fix the mirror decoratively to its frame.
This style of mirror is a great addition to both contemporary and classic interiors, thanks to its elegant gold finish and architectural shape. I love it because it brings a hint of sophistication and a touch of glamour to a space without feeling overwhelming. It works particularly well in bedrooms or hallways as a statement piece, but can also add visual interest to a living room or bathroom. For practical styling, consider pairing it with neutral tones to let the mirror stand out, or mix metals for an eclectic look. Hanging it at eye level in a narrow space or above a console will help it function as both a decorative and practical element.
