Description

We love mixing and matching patterns at OKA, so we thought why not create a chair that does that for you. Enjoy the contrasting patterns of our Nomeko Armchair, upholstered in a printed cotton dhurrie rug. The dhurrie is handwoven and hand screen printed which lends each piece individual characteristics that add to their charm. The back legs and arms of the chair showcase pleasing curves that counteract the straight lines of the front legs, backrest and the black markings of the print.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of the Nomeko chair for its fresh, graphic print and shaped arms that feel both current and comfortable. The charcoal tick marks on a soft ivory base, with the ochre patterned border, make it a flexible accent piece in modern country cottages, city apartments or eclectic lounges. When styling, keep surrounding items fairly pared-back to let the pattern stand out. A linen throw in a neutral shade and a single cushion in a complementary tone (think deep teal or terracotta) will lift the look without clashing. Position it next to a slim side table with a simple lamp or a statement plant stand to maintain balance and showcase the chair’s elegant frame.
