Description

Our medium-sized Nadiya Rug takes inspiration from the eye-catching motifs of traditional Persian rugs, handwoven from jute and cotton. Jute is a particularly hard-wearing material, making this the perfect floor covering for heavily used rooms. The origins of kilim rugs range from Balkan regions through to Northern Africa, which is what makes them complementary to so many design styles. Kilims differ from knotted rugs as they are interwoven from variously coloured wefts (horizontal yarns) and warps (vertical yarns) to create a flatwoven tapestry rug with no pile. It is this distinct weaving technique, in which the weft turns around the warp, that gives the Nadiya its diagonally stepped colourful pattern.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Nadiya Rug for its versatile natural tones and intriguing multi-coloured accents, making it a great statement piece that still works seamlessly with both neutral and colourful interiors. Its jute construction offers a tactile, rustic feel that adds warmth and texture to living rooms, bedrooms, or even dining spaces. For styling, I recommend pairing it with wooden furniture and soft textiles to emphasise its natural appeal, and layering it with a few patterned cushions or throws can create a cosy, layered look. Practical tip: due to its natural fibre, avoid placing it in damp areas, and vacuum regularly to keep it looking fresh. This is a great choice for anyone wanting an understated yet characterful rug that enhances the aesthetic without overwhelming the space.
