Description

Our Misse and Turlu Bookends are named in homage to a portrait of Louis XV’s greyhounds, painted by Jean-Baptiste Oudry in 1725. The high-quality, eco-friendly resin is moulded into shape, giving the animals’ faces boundless character in their slender snouts and expressively pulled back ears. The princely hounds are given a playful touch with ruffled collars at their necks.

Our Stylist Says

I love these black dog head bookends for their bold, sculptural presence-they add a touch of modern sophistication while serving a practical purpose. They’re versatile enough to fit into both contemporary and eclectic interiors, especially those with a monochrome palette or a curated display of artful accessories. My top styling tip is to pair them with open books on a side table or shelf to create an eye-catching vignette, or use them in a reading nook for a playful yet refined touch. The resin finish works well in both minimalist and maximalist settings, giving a sleek, durable quality that’s easy to incorporate into everyday arrangements.
