Description

Both the Merinid's colour palette and pattern remind us of the blue and white Moroccan tiles which are used to decorate buildings, parks, fountains and walls across the country. If you like the aesthetic of tiles but want something that will be soft and warm underfoot, a patterned rug like the Merinid is a good way to go.

Our Stylist Says

I love this rug for its versatile geometric design and rich lapis colour, which adds depth and sophistication to quite a range of interiors. It works particularly well in contemporary or boho spaces where a pop of colour and pattern can bring everything together. Given its cotton/wool blend, it's durable enough for use in living rooms or bedrooms, and you can layer it over neutral carpets or flooring for a layered look. Practical styling tips include pairing it with understated furniture to let the pattern stand out or mixing it with natural textures like wood or rattan for a warm, welcoming feel. Its tactile pattern also makes it a great anchor piece that can help define a seating area or bring cohesion to an open-plan room.
