Description
‘Star of the Sea’ is the meaning of the name Maristela, chosen for this console table on account of the unusual starburst inlay on its wooden top. The grain of the wood extends outwards from its centre in a pleasing pattern, supported by hammered solid metal legs with a matt golden finish.

I’m a fan of this slim oak-and-metal console because its watered-grey top and brass-toned frame bring subtle warmth without dominating a space. Its narrow profile makes it ideal for hallways or behind a sofa, and it sits equally well in contemporary, Scandi-inspired or gently traditional interiors.
For styling, keep the look clean by layering a round mirror above and balancing it with a low vase of foliage on one side and a small stack of coffee-table books topped with a decorative object on the other. Tuck a slender table lamp into one corner for soft evening light and leave the middle clear to give the table breathing room.
