Description

From floor covering to smart storage, the Lazaret textile pattern is as versatile as the upholstered ottoman design it now adorns. The bold geometric pattern is screen printed by hand onto a cotton dhurrie before being washed – to give it a faded appearance – and the finished textile is then applied to a mango-wood frame. Brass studs and handles complement the blue-and-white tones, while the ottoman’s heavy lid is supported by four slow-close sprung metal hinges for an extra-smooth finish. Due to the artisanal craft process, each piece will have individual characteristics.

Our Stylist Says

This footstool is a great blend of colour, pattern, and natural materials, making it quite versatile. I love how the Lazaret Blue upholstery adds a pop of colour without overwhelming, and the geometric pattern brings visual interest. It works particularly well in contemporary or eclectic interiors, especially when paired with neutral tones to let the pattern stand out. Practical styling tips include using it as a footrest in a living room, or even as additional seating in a cosy corner. Its durable brass, cotton, and mango wood accents give it a tactile, quality feel, so it can also serve as a small accent piece in more layered, textured spaces.
