Description

The clean lines and curvaceous legs of the Kaishu pedestal table call to mind Chinese calligraphy, but in the form of a contemporary furniture piece. Sharing the same striking silhouette as the matching console and dining table, this side table comes in a bold Black or subtle Watered Grey finish – mimicking the tonal element of the written characters the design was inspired by.

Our Stylist Says

I’m really taken with this Kaishu side table in watered-grey oak for its sculptural base and subtle, weathered finish - it brings just the right amount of texture without overwhelming a space. It works particularly well in contemporary or Scandi-inspired rooms, but its muted tone and classic round top also sit comfortably in more traditional or coastal schemes. Styling-wise, keep it simple: a low-profile lamp or a slim candleholder plus a small stack of art books gives height variation without clutter. The greyed oak pairs nicely with soft linens in muted greens or dusty pinks, and grouping it beside a neutral armchair creates a balanced reading corner.
