Description

A dramatic extendable dining table, crafted from solid oak and an oak veneer with a grey-painted finish, the Kaishu makes an impressive centrepiece in a dining room. As well as curvaceous legs that resemble Chinese calligraphy, this table hides another secret beneath its surface: an expanding butterfly leaf, that's a saviour on those occasions when you need to squeeze in a couple of extra guests.

Our Stylist Says

I love the kaishu extendable table for its versatile and sophisticated appeal. Its watered grey finish makes it an excellent choice for both modern and traditional interiors, working well in neutral, coastal, or Scandinavian-inspired spaces. Practical styling tips include pairing it with a mix of upholstered and wooden chairs to maximise comfort and visual interest, especially since it’s extendable for larger gatherings. To keep it looking fresh, consider adding a runner to protect the surface and highlight the natural grain, while a statement centrepiece or candles can elevate the table’s aesthetic for everyday use or special occasions. Its adaptable nature makes it a reliable anchor for a variety of interior styles.
