Description

From side table to shelving unit, we’ve reinvented our bobbin-inspired Huxley design so that it can prove even more useful in your interiors. Originally, while agonising over the size of the square forms, our designer began stacking her son’s building blocks for inspiration – Huxley has since lent his name to the distinctive collection. The asymmetrical structure of this unit is a reference to vintage shelving, its hand-carved oak wood frame finished in Espresso brown.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of the Huxley shelf for its blend of traditional detailing and contemporary silhouette - the turned side posts add subtle texture without feeling ornate. The deep espresso finish sits beautifully in modern country, industrial or pared-back Scandi interiors, where its open structure keeps a room feeling light. To style, alternate vertical book stacks with low sculptural objects or plant pots, and reserve the tallest compartment for a statement vase or lamp. Keep heavier pieces at the base to ground the unit, then vary heights and materials as you work upwards to maintain balance.
