Description

The Homar is an addition to our collection of Persian-inspired rugs with bold abstract botanical motifs on a neutral ground. The piece is hand tufted, which is a weaving technique that combines ancient skills with modern tools. It involves using a canvas, a tufting gun, and wool strands that are pushed into the base. After weaving, the rug is washed and backed to secure the tufts and a cotton secondary backing is applied for a final protective finishing. Due to the artisanal craft process, each piece will have individual characteristics that add to their charm.

Our Stylist Says

The OKA Homar Rug is a versatile piece that works well in both traditional and contemporary interiors, thanks to its classic pattern and subtle colour palette. I love how the pale blue and multi-tonal hues can bring a sense of calm and add visual interest without overwhelming the space. It’s great for adding warmth and texture to living rooms or bedrooms, especially when paired with neutral furniture or slightly eclectic accents. For styling tips, consider layering it over a hardwood or stone floor to highlight its intricate design, and pair it with muted or complementary colours to let the rug become the focal point. This rug also offers durability and comfort underfoot, making it as practical as it is stylish.
