Description

A dark base can help to make furniture sing; the Hegaldia Rug does just that with a framing pattern that offers the perfect spot for a central coffee table. It is hand-knotted with a pile surface that makes it incredibly durable and delightfully soft underfoot. The mud cloth textile is from Africa, traditionally made by the women of Mali with an age-old process that uses local flora and fauna to hand-dye the yarn. The pattern is created with a form of tie-dye that sees the rug tied up with strips of raffia before the indigo colour is applied, leaving exposed sections that result in an abstract design.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Hegaldia Rug for its versatile indigo and striped design, which adds a contemporary yet earthy touch to any space. It works particularly well in modern or eclectic interiors, where its bold pattern can serve as a focal piece, but it's also suitable for more relaxed, casual rooms like a sitting area or bedroom. When styling, I recommend pairing it with neutral or textured furnishings to let the rug stand out, and placing it on wooden or polished floors for a fresh look. Its cotton and wood construction makes it practical for high-traffic areas, and its size is adaptable for both small and larger rooms, making it a flexible choice for adding warmth and visual interest.
