Description

The spherical turned legs of the Gwendolen are inspired by the popular bobbin furniture movement - otherwise known as spool furniture - of the late 17th century. This style had legs that were generally lathe-turned into ornamental shapes in order to make a feature of them. The padded top of the Gwendolen is upholstered in linen featuring our black and white Serigraph print, which enables it to be used as an extra seat as well as a surface. The bottom shelf features woven cane for added interest.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this OKA footstool because it combines practicality with a luxe feel, making it versatile for various interiors. The Gwendolen’s black and natural palette allows it to slot seamlessly into both contemporary and more traditional settings - it works particularly well in relaxed living rooms, boho schemes, or as a statement piece in a neutral decor. Styling tips include using it as a footrest paired with a cosy armchair or as a low coffee table topped with a tray for everyday essentials. Its under-tier shelf offers handy storage for magazines or blankets, making it both stylish and functional. Overall, it’s a great addition for adding texture and a touch of understated elegance.
