Description

The spherical turned legs of the Gwendolen are inspired by the popular bobbin furniture movement – otherwise known as spool furniture – of the late 17th century. This style had legs that were generally lathe-turned into ornamental shapes in order to make a feature of them. The padded top of the Gwendolen is upholstered in linen featuring our black and white Serigraph print, which enables it to be used as an extra seat as well as a surface. The bottom shelf features woven cane for added interest.

Our Stylist Says

I’ve been using the Gwendolen coffee table for its blend of tactile linen top and turned timber legs - it’s as practical as it is eye-catching. The serigraph black pattern on the natural frame adds just enough contrast without dominating a room, so it sits comfortably in Scandi-inspired spaces, coastal schemes and even more traditional settings. For styling, I’d keep the look personal but uncluttered: layer a small stack of illustrated books with a simple ceramic vase, add a low tray for remotes or coasters, and consider a woven basket on the lower shelf for throws or board games. The linen surface wipes clean easily, so it’s ideally suited to busy family life.
