Description

This console is all about contrast; warm oak is offset by cool stone to create a two-tone effect. Constructed from traditional materials, with column-like legs, you can see why we named it after a Roman dynasty. With a narrow profile, it's ideal for a hallway or could even double up as a dressing table – it certainly has the surface space. Cut from a large piece of natural stone, the table’s surface features meandering white veins that are formed from crystallised minerals within the rock. White markings also decorate its façade where it’s been bleached by the sun, making each one utterly unique.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of the Flavian console for its blend of natural oak and dark stone top - the slim, turned legs lend a refined yet sturdy look that works equally well in a hallway, behind a sofa or beneath a gallery wall. It suits schemes from modern country or cottage chic through to pared-back Scandi and transitional spaces thanks to its neutral palette and clean lines. For styling, keep the surface uncluttered: balance a statement table lamp at one end with a low stack of books and a simple vase of greenery at the other. Tuck woven baskets or shallow boxes on the lower shelf for discreet storage, and hang a round or organic-shaped mirror above to tie the arrangement together.
