Description

The original Carlos Cane design was described by our Co-Founder Sue Jones as the "Rolls-Royce of dining chairs"– it couldn’t look smarter if it tried. Now its smooth-to-the-touch wooden frame can be enjoyed in bar stool form. Double-caned panels introduce texture and strength, while its colour and natural grain of the wood will have individual characteristics from piece to piece. Topped with a stylish linen cushion pad – that can be used interchangeably with the Caramel Leather pad of our Carlos Cane Swivel Chair – this piece also swivels 360 degrees.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of the Carlos cane bar stool for its easy-going blend of weathered oak, woven rattan and linen-covered seat pad - it brings natural texture without shouting for attention. The swivel seat and solid footrest make it genuinely practical at a kitchen island or home bar, and the neutral timber tone sits well alongside both light, Scandi-influenced schemes and slightly more rustic or coastal interiors. For styling, group two or three along a marble or oak countertop, then layer in jute placemats and simple earthenware crockery to echo the cane detailing. A low-profile pendant light above keeps sightlines open, while a few trailing green plants or a stoneware vase softens the overall look and injects a little colour.
