Description

The heavy linen used for our Borrayo Cushion Covers has a quality feel that lends the perfect base for the artwork of our Ikat-style design. Ikat is an ancient dyeing technique that originates in Indonesia requiring the skill of masterful artisans. We have digitally printed the pattern onto the linen so that all the character of the paintwork is portrayed, from the pattern itself to the soft painterly lines that blend from the blue into the white. Our range is named Borrayo for this very reason – a play on the Portuguese word for ‘blur’, which is a distinctive quality of Ikat designs.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Borrayo Dot cushion cover for its vibrant yet sophisticated pattern, which effortlessly adds visual interest to both traditional and contemporary interiors. The combination of dark blue and red makes it versatile enough to style in living rooms with neutral tones or to complement bolder colour schemes. It works particularly well in spaces with a mix of textures-think woven throws or natural wood furniture-where its geometric and damask influences can really stand out. For styling tips, consider layering it with other cushions in solid colours to let its pattern sing, or pair it with a soft linen throw for a cosy, inviting look. Its cotton-linen blend also ensures durability and a nice textured feel, making it both practical and stylish.
