Description

The heavy linen used for our Borrayo Cushion Covers has a quality feel that lends the perfect base for the artwork of our Ikat-style design. Ikat is an ancient dyeing technique that originates in Indonesia requiring the skill of masterful artisans. We have digitally printed the pattern onto the linen so that all the character of the paintwork is portrayed, from the pattern itself to the soft painterly lines that blend from the dark blue into the white. Our range is named Borrayo for this very reason – a play on the Portuguese word for ‘blur’, which is a distinctive quality of Ikat designs. This is the largest pattern in the range and pairs well with the other designs.

Our Stylist Says

I love this cushion cover for its versatile mix of damask and geometric patterns, making it a great way to add texture and visual interest to both traditional and contemporary interiors. Its dark blue hue works well as a statement piece or layered within a neutral scheme for subtle sophistication. This cover pairs beautifully with linens, period furniture, or minimalist spaces, offering a touch of craftsmanship and depth. Practical styling tips include mixing it with other cushions in similar or contrasting textures, such as velvet or linen, to create an inviting and tactile look. It’s an excellent choice for those wanting to introduce pattern without overwhelming the space, and its cotton-linen blend adds durability and refined softness.
