Description

Our Bobina Mirrors are inspired by bobbin furniture – otherwise known as spool furniture – of the late 17th century. This style had legs that were generally lathe-turned into ornamental shapes in order to make a feature of them. We have expanded our best-selling range to include this oversized, statement floor-standing mirror: drawing on the bobbin characteristic, its solid mango wood frame is hand carved into pleasing spherical shapes, then hand painted contrasting black and vellum hues and finished with an antiqued, rubbed effect. Due to the artisanal techniques used, each piece will have individual characteristics that add to their charm.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this floor-standing mirror for its versatility and subtle sophistication. The Vellum/Distressed Black finish makes it suitable for both contemporary and vintage-inspired interiors, adding an element of texture without overpowering the decor. It works particularly well in bedrooms, dressing rooms, or hallways, where it can be used both practically and decoratively. A practical styling tip is to position it near a light source or in a corner to reflect more light and make smaller spaces feel larger. Additionally, grouping it with other textures or contrasting materials, such as soft textiles or aged woods, will help it stand out while maintaining a cohesive look.
