Description

The Avaley Rug has a pretty pattern of curling fronds and abstract florals in a Washed Rose hue, crafted using a traditional hand-knotting technique that originates from Persia. The wool is first sorted by hand and spun into yarn, then washed and dyed before skilled artisans embark on the knotting process. A designer draws out the design on paper so the weaver can determine the size and pattern of the rug and adjust their handloom accordingly. A maximum of three weavers work together on one handloom, carefully binding the vertical warps around the horizontal yarns from the bottom upwards until it is complete.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Avaley Rug for its versatile, timeless appeal and soft colour palette, making it an excellent choice for adding warmth to a variety of interiors. Its washed rose tones make it particularly suitable for creating a relaxed, feminine feel or adding subtle colour to neutral spaces. It works well in living rooms or bedrooms, especially on hardwood or laminate floors, where it can anchor furniture and add texture. Practical styling tips include layering it with larger neutral rugs for a contemporary look or pairing it with other floral or vintage-inspired elements for a cosy, eclectic aesthetic. Given its cotton and wool blend, it’s also durable enough for high-traffic areas with a bit of care.
