Description

The Obaby Stamford furniture range offers families the perfect combination of style, quality and practicality. The Stamford Mini sleigh cot bed is the perfect addition to any nursery, its elegant sleigh design offers traditional styling while its slatted ends add a contemporary touch. The Stamford Mini is smaller than a traditional cot bed, yet doesn’t lose any of the valuable features. Teething rails ensure your child’s delicate first teeth are protected and the slatted ends and sides allow you to watch over your little one during their most peaceful moments. The three-position mattress base offers ease of access in its highest position then, as your little one grows, the mattress base can be lowered by two further positions providing extra safety and reassurance. Once they are ready to progress to a bed, the sides can be removed to create a stylish toddler bed, providing the perfect night's sleep until approximately three years old. When they have outgrown the toddler bed, simply re-add the rear slatted rail, and your bed is transformed into the perfect day bed. The cotbed requires an Obaby 120 x 60cm mattress, sold separately. The included under drawer has a 26. L capacity, smoothly glides on runners and the recessed handles make sure that the drawer fits neatly under the bed with no protruding handles to catch. For this item, our supplier can deliver to your doorstep, but the drivers cannot enter your property. If you live in a flat, the delivery driver will be able to bring the boxes to the main entrance of the building, but they will not be able to take them up to the door of your flat. Therefore, we recommend having someone with you who can take in the boxes.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Obaby Stamford Mini Sleigh Cotbed for its timeless, classic design that works beautifully in both traditional and modern nursery schemes. Its clean white finish makes it versatile, allowing it to blend seamlessly with soft pastel shades, gender-neutral tones, or even baintercolour schemes. In terms of styling tips, pairing it with cozy textiles like textured blankets, playful soft toys, or a delicate canopy can create a gentle, inviting space. For interiors leaning towards Scandinavian or minimalist themes, this cot’s simple lines and understated elegance make it a perfect centrepiece. Practical tips include adding a sturdy, padded bumper and choosing easy-to-clean bedding to keep practicality in check without sacrificing style.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
