Description

The Obaby Nika range offers a contemporary design, due to its clean lines and textured oak effect finish, that will fit perfectly in today’s modern nursery. This 2 piece room set consists of Nika Mini cot bed and changing unit. Cotbed: When your little one is standing confidently, the Nika can be easily transformed into a stylish toddler bed that still offers the familiarity they are used to and helps them to transition in an often-daunting time. The Nika Mini requires an Obaby 120 x 60cm mattress, available separately. Changing unit: The Nika changing unit is a piece of furniture that can be used for years to come. Three large 32. L capacity, full-depth drawers offer plenty of space for changing essentials, toys and your little one’s precious possessions. All three drawers feature two brushed metal handles and glide on smooth runners allowing you to easily open them with either hand. Discreet spring pins allow the changing area to be attached to the top of the unit without any unsightly screws showing, it perfectly accommodates a changing mat up to 76 x 46cm and is set at a comfortable height for parents. When the changing area is no longer needed the frame can be easily removed to create a solid top chest of drawers. For this item, our supplier can deliver to your doorstep, but the drivers cannot enter your property. If you live in a flat, the delivery driver will be able to bring the boxes to the main entrance of the building, but they will not be able to take them up to the door of your flat. Therefore, we recommend having someone with you who can take in the boxes.

Our Stylist Says

I love this little cot and changing unit set for its modern, clean lines and versatile design-it works especially well in Scandi-inspired nurseries or minimalist interiors. The all-white finish offers timeless appeal and pairs effortlessly with soft pastel tones, muted neutrals, or bold accent colours. Practical styling tips include layering with cosy textiles like textured throws or plush rugs to add warmth, and incorporating storage baskets or organisers in natural tones to keep things tidy. This set’s compact size makes it perfect for smaller spaces, while its sleek appearance ensures it remains a subtle, stylish focal point in a contemporary nursery.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
