Price History

Description

The moisture management dual core mattress from Obaby adapts as your little one grows and is fantastic for those wanting to provide their child with optimum support. The mattress offers an impressive four sleeping options thanks to the reversible core and cover meaning you can always choose the best combination for a perfect night's sleep. Suitable from birth, one side of the mattress is firm which aids in muscle development, bone growth and features an inner core comprised of coconut coir, bonded with natural latex that provides a naturally springy feel whilst being extremely resilient, durable and breathable. It is then topped with soft and luxurious lambswool that regulates body temperature and moisture for maximum comfort as well as being naturally hypoallergenic. As your child grows, so do their needs. Thoughtfully the mattress can be flipped, this side offering individual pocket springs encased in high-grade, dent-resistant nursery foam. This side gives increased support to your tot’s back, neck and head during sleep, promoting perfect posture and sweet dreams. One side of the reversible cover features a Tencel fabric top panel which is extremely breathable, allowing more air flow through and moving perspiration away from the body and through the fabric, helping to keep your little one cool and comfortable. This top panel can be removed easily without removing the mattress from the cot to reveal the second sleeping surface, a panel made of polyurethane which is not only soft to the touch, breathable, and able to adjust to body temperature quickly but is also waterproof, protecting the mattress from those little accidents. The other side of the cover is made of durable and breathable knitted polyester which also features splash-resistant properties. The whole cover is antibacterial, antifungal, anti-dust mite, and also fully removable and washable at 60ºC so that the piece can be kept fresh and clean for your child’s naptime. Add to this the removable, water-resistant inner cover that can be used as a third sleeping surface whilst the outer cover is being washed and you have a mattress that is perfect for providing a good night’s sleep. All Obaby mattresses are designed and manufactured to comply with the General Product Safety Regulations 2005 and UK Furniture and Furnishings (Fire Safety) Regulations 1988/1989, 1993, and 2010. Crib, cot, and cot bed mattresses are tested to BS 7177:2008+A1:2011 and BS EN16890:2017. For this item, our supplier can deliver to your doorstep, but the drivers cannot enter your property. If you live in a flat, the delivery driver will be able to bring the boxes to the main entrance of the building, but they will not be able to take them up to the door of your flat. Therefore, we recommend having someone with you who can take in the boxes.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
