I particularly like how the tall industrial bookcase merges open metal framing with warm oak-effect shelves - it brings structure without feeling heavy. It works equally well in a city loft or a pared-back Scandi living room, and can even soften a minimalist home office.
Styling tip: balance books with decorative objects and greenery, using odd-number groupings on each level. Keep some shelves sparse to prevent a cluttered look, and echo the wood tone elsewhere (for instance, with a coffee-table tray or picture frame) so the piece feels integrated. The black frame also makes a striking backdrop for lighter ceramics or brass accents.
