I’m a fan of this oak-effect round table for its clean lines, light tone and compact footprint - it slips easily into Scandi-inspired, modern or coastal kitchens and breakfast nooks. To style it, layer a natural-fibre rug underneath, mix in chairs with contrasting textures (think painted wood or rattan), then centre a simple ceramic vase or bowl of seasonal fruit on top. Finish with woven placemats, muted tableware and a couple of potted plants nearby to keep the look fresh and inviting.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores".
