I’m a fan of this natural oak desk for its clean lines and light, warm finish - it works just as well in a Scandi-style study as in a contemporary flat. Its compact footprint is ideal for smaller nooks, and the mix of drawer, cabinet and open shelf gives you neat storage without cluttering the desktop.
Styling tip: keep the surface minimal with a slim desk lamp, a small potted plant and a pen-pot, then tuck a woven basket or box on the lower shelf. Pair it with a simple upholstered or leather-look chair in muted tones, and if you need extra display space, hang a slim floating shelf or corkboard above.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
