Created by Chilean design studio Elemental, "O" is a collection of ring-shaped outdoor lights that automatically turn on and off with built-in motion detectors. The large aluminium ring only lights up when it detects the presence of a person. “O” offers discreet lighting that interferes as little as possible with the environment to fully respect the circadian cycles of all animal and plant species. This automated lighting thus allows the surrounding nature to enjoy the darkness required in the absence of any human presence. As well as protecting nature, “O” lights use very little energy. Extremely thin and light, the large ring, arranged vertically, has an immaterial, almost invisible presence. Simple, pure and graphic, the “O” pendant displays breathtaking geometric minimalism. “O” transforms and reveals itself once the light is on. The LED light source located inside the aluminium ring projects the light inside the circle. The metal ring creates a frame in the air, delimiting an empty space which it fills with light. The lighting can be controlled by bluetooth using a smartphone app (free to download on Apple Store & Google play). By using the Artemide app, you can turn the light on and off, decrease the intensity of the lamp, create an infinity of light scenarios for your home.
