I’m a fan of the Nova stool for its clean, moulded silhouette and durable, easy-care finish. Its pared-back shape slots straight into contemporary, Scandi-inspired or coastal kitchens, but it also softens tougher industrial schemes when paired with warmer materials like reclaimed oak or aged brass.
For styling, try a trio of stools at a breakfast bar and introduce texture with slim, removable seat pads in muted stripes or boucle. Accent with a row of pendant lights above and tie in with jute runner or simple place-settings to keep the look balanced and practical.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth.
