Description

From graphic arabesques to unstructured patches of colour, the Notton Rug takes up the codes of abstract art. Hand-tufted in wool, Notton is the perfect structure for your living room or bedroom. A signature design by La Redoute Intérieurs. Product Details • 77% wool, 15% viscose, 8% polyamide • 3800 g/m2 • Thickness: 2cm/1" • Weaving type: Handmade • Compatible with underfloor heating: Yes • Interior Use: Yes • For outdoor use: No. Quality Info • Wool is a warm and comfortable fibre. A wool rug is also an excellent thermal and sound insulator. • Viscose is a textile fibre obtained from wood pulp. Also called artificial silk, it is smooth, shiny, very soft and has subtle variations in tone depending on the brightness and the direction of the pile.. • Hand-braided, each piece is unique and may have small irregularities which make it authentic.. Colours and dimensions may vary slightly. Care advice • Once unrolled, you must wait a few days for the carpet to return to its initial shape.. To keep the edges flat, roll your mat in the opposite direction. Leave it like this for an hour then put it back flat and place a heavy object on it for 2 days. New, the carpet may give off an odour which dissipates over time. Remember to regularly ventilate your room to reduce it. • To preserve its appearance, rotate your rug regularly in one direction or the other to minimise localised wear in the same places (due to successive passages), and loss of colour due to regular light. Care Advice • Some materials are very fibrous (like wool) and you can actually observe pilling in the first weeks of use. : this is normal as the rug "unburdens" by rejecting its excess fibres. Remove lint as much as possible by hand and do not use the vacuum cleaner in brushing mode as this will pull the fibres and tear them out.. The pilling will improve over time. • For maintenance, we advise you to vacuum it very little the first month and then to vacuum it without rubbing too much always without using the brush. • Compatible with robot vacuum cleaners: Yes • Remove stains immediately with a clean, damp cloth. • Dry clean recommended. Dimensions • Width 120 x Length 170cm • Width 160 x Length 230cm • Width 200 x Length 290cm • OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. Standard 100 certification by OEKO-TEX® tests textile products for harmful substances via an independent, international label.

Our Stylist Says

I love this rug for its minimalist yet inviting look, thanks to its subtle wave pattern and soft wool blend. It works particularly well in contemporary or scandinavian-inspired interiors, where it can add texture without overwhelming the space. Practical styling tips include layering it over a larger, neutral-toned floor covering for added depth, or pairing it with mid-century modern furniture to enhance its relaxed vibe. Its sturdy wool content makes it suitable for high-traffic areas like living rooms or larger hallways, ensuring both comfort and durability. Overall, it’s a versatile piece that combines style with practicality, perfect for creating a cosy, modern feel.
