I’m a big fan of the Mat bar stool - its gently curved cream hemp seat and slim steel legs strike the right note between warmth and minimalism. It works equally well in a Scandi-inspired kitchen, a clean-lined industrial loft or a pared-back urban flat.
For styling, pair it with a light oak or matt-black breakfast bar to pick up those neutral tones, then add a small sheepskin draped over the seat in winter for extra comfort. In summer, tuck in simple linen placemats and let the stool’s subtle texture do the talking.

Heal's is a well-known British furniture store with a history that spans over 200 years. It began in 1810 when John Harris Heal and his son started a business for feather products but soon moved into furniture.
By the 1900s, almost everyone in London knew Heal's for its great furniture. Interestingly, they were also among the first to sell electric lights in Britain. During World War II, their main store even helped by making parachutes for soldiers.
