Description

Incorporate a touch of glamour to your home décor with the Nore Large Encased Flush. Flush fittings are ideal for low ceilings, and this ceiling light can even be used in the bathroom due to its IP44 rating. The design features an ornate glass bowl which encases tiers of crystal effect droplets and beading that sparkle as they catch the light.

Our Stylist Says

This flush fitting light adds a touch of glamour with its crystal detailing and sleek chrome finish, making it a versatile choice for a variety of interiors. I love how it can elevate both modern and classic schemes - it works particularly well in spaces like living rooms, hallways, or even bedrooms where you want a statement piece without overwhelming the ceiling. Practical styling tips include pairing it with neutral colour palettes to let the sparkle do the talking, or matching it with silver or chrome accessories for a cohesive look. Keep it simple around the fixture to avoid competing with the intricate detailing, and consider positioning it in areas where the crystals can catch and reflect light for maximum impact.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
