Description

The simple design and soft shape makes the Nordlux Sponge rechargeable light incredibly elegant. There are many opportunities with this beautiful lamp as it is suitable for inside and outside the home. Hang it in a tree in the garden with the included cord or place it directly on the terrace or floor in the living room. Sponge is made of hard plastic and is durable against wind and water. With the built-in battery, Sponge can be placed and moved as you like and the brightness of the light can be adjusted to three levels. The battery has a durability of up to five hours at full power and even longer if the light is turned down to a low level. The battery is easily charged via the USB cable which is included.

Our Stylist Says

I really like the sponge pendant for its clean, minimalist look and versatile colour palette of black and white. It works particularly well in both modern and contemporary interiors, adding a touch of understated sophistication without overpowering the space. This light is ideal for outdoor dining areas, porches, or even covered walkways, bringing a subtle yet practical focal point. For styling tips, consider pairing it with sleek, neutral outdoor furniture or contrasting textured materials like wood or greenery to create visual interest. Its simple shape makes it easy to incorporate into various schemes, and it can also work well in indoor settings such as kitchens or breakfast bars if you’re after a contemporary, understated statement.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
