I’m a big fan of the California daybed for its clean lines and generous proportions - it feels both relaxed and purposeful. The low wooden plinth base grounds the piece, while the removable cushions make it easy to keep fresh.
It works especially well in modern Scandi or pared‐back coastal schemes, but can also add a laid-back edge to more structured, mid-century rooms. Pair with a slimline floor lamp and a low coffee table, then layer on a mix of linen and boucle throws or cushion covers in soft, natural tones to keep the look inviting yet uncluttered.
