Description

Keep time with our stylish Zuwena wall clock, which adds an instant touch of understated glamour to any room. The antique brass finish on the face is elevated by a subtly etched design, adding texture and depth to its minimalist form. Slim metal hands complete the simple, abstract look, making it a striking piece of wall art in its own right. Whether placed in a neutral, pared-back setting or on a richly coloured wall among other found objects, it brings quiet sophistication to any space.

Our Stylist Says

I love the nkuku Zuwena clock for its bold yet understated design, perfect for adding a touch of elegance to a variety of interiors. Its antique brass finish gives it a vintage feel, making it ideal for both modern minimalist spaces and more eclectic or industrial schemes. The large size ensures it makes a statement on the wall, while the textured surface adds subtle visual interest. Practical styling tips include pairing it with other metal accents or placing it above a neutral sideboard or mantel to create a focal point. It's versatile enough to suit living rooms, kitchens, or hallways, especially when you want a functional piece that also elevates the overall aesthetic.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
