Description

The small Zowie Pendant Light has a timeless elegance. The ribbed detailing of the glass shade, not only adds an attractive design detail but helps diffuse the light. The shallow lampshade design makes it ideal for displaying over a table, singularly or in a rows of three for real impact. The Zowie Pendant marries brass and glass in a timeless design. | nkuku Zowie Recycled Glass Pendant | Lights | Antique Brass | Small

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of the Zowie pendant for its smart blend of vintage charm and everyday practicality. The fluted clear glass shade and aged-brass fittings add just enough character without overwhelming a room, making it equally at home in a pared-back Scandi kitchen, a cosy farmhouse nook or even an industrial-style hallway. Because it’s small, I often specify two or three in a row over a breakfast bar or cluster them pair-wise above bedside tables. For the best effect, pair with a warm-glow filament bulb and team with natural textures - think rough-cast walls, unfinished wood or brushed metal surfaces - to let the light’s subtle detailing stand out.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
