Description

The large Yadur mirror is handcrafted in a traditional and versatile rectangular shape. The striking curved frame is finished in a warm brass hue, crafted from cast aluminium giving it an appealing texture. This mirror is perfect for transforming a hallway into a stylish entrance, and the size is proportionally well-suited to sit above a console. Equally it would work well above a mantelpiece, or positioned in dining area, adding light and creating an illusion of space. | nkuku Yadur Rectangular Mirror | Mirrors | Antique Brass | Large

Our Stylist Says

I love the Nkuku Yadur mirror for its timeless and versatile appeal. The antique brass frame adds a warm, vintage touch that works beautifully in both classic and eclectic interiors. It’s perfect for bedroom dressers, hallway stations, or above a sideboard where its large scale makes a subtle statement. For styling tips, consider pairing it with natural textures like wood or linen, and complementing the finish with other brass accents for a cohesive look. Its clean, rectangular shape makes it a practical choice to enhance light and create a sense of space without overwhelming the room.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
