Description

The Tukana triple wall hung planter brings a refined industrial charm to outdoor or indoor walls. With its soft zinc patina and distressed metal finish, it adds texture and warmth, offering a characterful contrast to vibrant green foliage. This piece continues the story of our Abari planter collection, providing a practical yet stylish solution for planting.

Our Stylist Says

I love the nkuku tukana triple wall hung planter because of its sleek zinc finish and minimalist design, making it a versatile addition to various interiors. It works particularly well in modern, industrial, or Scandinavian-inspired spaces, where its understated style brings a touch of greenery without overpowering the decor. Practically, this wall planter is ideal for creating a living focal point in kitchens, hallways, or bathrooms - just ensure your plants thrive in the chosen location. For styling, consider grouping different plant types or sizes for visual interest, and keep the wall behind clear to highlight the clean lines of the planter itself. It's a great way to incorporate greenery into small or urban spaces with ease.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
