Description

The Sita coffee table brings together elegant craftsmanship and reclaimed materials in a striking silhouette. The dark brown-stained top of this table adds richness and warmth to any living space, while the gently tapered iron legs lend a contemporary edge. A versatile piece that balances strength and refinement, perfect for grounding a living room with understated character.

Our Stylist Says

I love the nkuku Sita coffee table for its rustic character and versatility. Its reclaimed wood top paired with an iron base makes it ideal for both contemporary and farmhouse-inspired interiors. It works particularly well in relaxed, neutral-toned living rooms where it can be styled with layered textiles and natural accents. For a practical approach, consider keepng its surface minimal with a few essential accessories like a tray or a small plant, and let the table’s sturdy, textured look shine. Its earthy tone adds warmth without overwhelming, making it a great choice for spaces aiming for a cosy yet stylish vibe.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
