Description

The elegant contours of our Sia lantern is enhanced with the antique black metal finish. This striking frame holds the tall glass panels and provides the perfect silhouette for a church candle or t-light.

Our Stylist Says

The Nkuku Sia lantern is a versatile piece that adds a sleek, contemporary touch to any interior. Its compact size and black metal frame make it ideal for both modern and industrial-inspired spaces, but it also works well mixed into more eclectic styles. I love how it can serve as a subtle statement or be layered with other candleholders for a curated look. For styling tips, place it on a side table, mantelpiece, or even on the floor for a cosy glow. Its clean lines and understated design make it easy to pair with candles of different heights or sizes for varied visual interest. To get the most out of it, consider pairing it with greenery or natural textures nearby to soften the industrial feel and create a welcoming ambiance.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
