Description

Add a stylish rustic aesthetic to your home with our Serpur coffee table. It’s crafted from reclaimed wood which is rich in detail and texture. Reclaimed wood is a sustainable option which brings its own unique character, thanks to its previous use. You may discover slight markings or imperfections which add interest and personality. The unpainted wood allows the natural grain to shine and the neutral tones give it a pared back, organic feel which suits almost any interior.

Our Stylist Says

I love this table for its authentic reclaimed pine finish, which adds warmth and character to any living space. It works particularly well in rustic, Scandinavian, or eclectic interiors where natural materials are key. The straightforward design makes it versatile-pair it with cosy textiles and textured accessories to create a relaxed, inviting feel. Practical styling tips include layering with books, candles, or small plants to soften the look, and keeping its surface clear to highlight the wood's natural grain. It’s a great choice for those looking to introduce sustainable, durable furniture that complements both modern and traditional decor schemes.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
