Description

A natural extension of our bestselling Sanja upholstered collection, this timeless bed blends comfort and craftsmanship in equal measure. The solid mango wood frame offers lasting support, while the cotton-upholstered headboard adds a soft, tactile finish. A subtle broken black stripe runs across the natural cotton base, offering a gentle contrast that feels both classic and contemporary. Also available in Double and Super King sizes.

Our Stylist Says

I love this bed frame for its natural, understated appeal-it’s versatile enough to fit into a variety of interior styles from boho to rustic or Scandi. Its simple lines and neutral tones make it a great canvas for layering textured textiles, such as cosy throws or linen sheets, without overwhelming the space. Practical styling tips include pairing it with soft, muted colours for a calming bedroom vibe or adding statement cushions and artwork above the headboard to introduce colour and personality. Its super king size makes it perfect for creating a luxurious focal point in a larger room, and I’d recommend keeping surrounding furniture minimal for a clean, sophisticated look.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
