Description

This soft, textured lampshade brings a warm, tactile quality to your lighting. The boucle fabric allows light to filter through gently, creating a soft, ambient glow. Its neutral tone and subtle weave make it a versatile choice that adds a touch of relaxed elegance to any room.

Our Stylist Says

I love this Sakiti Bouclé lampshade for its versatile yet cosy appeal. Its off-white colour and boucle texture make it an ideal choice for both contemporary and rustic interiors, adding warmth without overpowering the space. It works particularly well in living rooms and bedrooms, where its soft glow can create a calming atmosphere. For styling tips, pair it with natural wood or muted tones to emphasise its tactile quality, and consider placing it on a side table or dresser for a layered look. Because it’s small, it’s great for more intimate lighting set-ups or as part of a vignette with other textured accessories. It’s a simple yet stylish piece that elevates the overall ambience with minimal effort.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
