Description

Our Rishikesh reclaimed wood bistro folding chairs are the perfect blend of two contrasting materials - characterful reclaimed wood and sleek iron. The warmth of the chairs slatted wooden seat and back help to soften the clean lines of the iron frame. The simple folding mechanism of these chairs makes them easy to store away, especially if space is limited. Complete the look by pairing these chairs with our elegant Rishikesh bistro table.

Our Stylist Says

This set of indoor-outdoor chairs is a great choice for adding rustic charm to any garden or patio. I love how the reclaimed wood and iron give it a rugged, yet stylish feel that works well in both modern and farmhouse-inspired spaces. The distressed brown finish adds character and a sense of history, making it versatile enough to pair with a variety of colours and textures. For styling, consider using complementary earthy tones and cosy textiles, like cushions or throws, to soften the look. These chairs are practical for outdoor dining setups or seated areas on a balcony or terrace, and their foldable feature makes them easy to store away when not in use. Overall, this set is durable, stylish, and perfect for creating a relaxed outdoor vibe with a bit of vintage appeal.

About Nkuku

Established in 2003, Nkuku offers ethically sourced, handcrafted, and eco-friendly homewares and furniture. Their pieces introduce an element of rustic elegance to your space, perfect for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Story of Nkuku

Inspired by the artisans they met during a world trip in 2002, Ali and Alex established Nkuku, a brand that celebrates handmade techniques and traditional skills from artisans across the world.

The journey began with a business plan drafted on a beach, with the name "Nkuku" taken from a Zambian village they passed.

Starting in Devon, they initially sold products from their travels at local markets. Eventually, Nkuku transitioned from a wholesale business to a known retail brand, offering a wide range of homewares, from tableware to furniture.

Values and Ethical Commitment

Nkuku is not just about selling products; it's about values. They are committed to an ethical approach, partnering with independent businesses, social projects, and cooperatives. Their focus? Building transparent, strong relationships with suppliers to ensure mutual success.

They're also environmentally conscious, incorporating natural and recycled materials into their products. From golden hemp and reclaimed mango wood to textiles recycled from old t-shirts, Nkuku champions sustainability and eco-friendly production methods.

Sustainability at Its Heart

Every Nkuku product tells a tale, capturing the essence of traditional, handmade craftsmanship. By embracing low-impact production methods, they bring collections that are individually crafted, ensuring each piece is unique.

The brand cherishes the age-old knowledge passed down through generations of artisans. It's not just about home décor for them; it's about keeping a rich heritage alive and celebrating the beauty of handmade uniqueness.
